OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro global launch reportedly set for May 14th

“OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro flagship with Snapdragon 855, triple rear camera setup, pop-up selfie snapper will reportedly launch on May 14th”

OnePlus is known to be actively working on its next flagship, the OnePlus 7, and also a 5G variant, which according to the rumours could be called the OnePlus 7 Pro. Recently, the alleged live images of the “OnePlus 7 Pro” with model number GM1915 revealed few key specifications and design. Now, according to the well-known tipster, Ishan Agarwal, it appears the OnePlus 7 series will be launching on May 14th, in-line with OnePlus 6 announcement in 2018.

As revealed from the leaked live images, the OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to sport a 6.67-inch Super Optic display with curved edges and minimal bezels. The handset is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor with Adreno 640 GPU, coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. As for the optics, the handset will likely feature a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, a 16MP secondary shooter that could be a wide-angle lens and an 8MP third depth unit. The flagship might rock a pop-up slider to accommodate the selfie shooter.

As for the regular OnePlus 7, the phone is expected to be powered by the same Snapdragon 855 chipset but stay limited to 4G. Furthermore, the phone is also expected to pack a triple rear camera setup with circular LED flash, an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C with loudspeaker cutout on the bottom and is likely to pack a 4,150mAh battery with Warp Charge fast-charging technology. Both the models are expected to run on Android 9.0 Pie. A recent case renders of the OnePlus 7 highlights the pop-up selfie shooter, meaning, the phone could pack an all screen display with no notch. It is also reported that the flagships might be offered in new gradient colours. Either way, nothing is official nor confirmed by the brand, so we suggest you take all of this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned in for more updates.
