‘Tender Mind’ by Tiffany Rodriguez is an enthralling fictionalized story of an intelligent schizophrenic Asian woman who is coping with her issues revolving around relationships and sexual intimacy
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) April 15, 2019
“Tender Mind” by Tiffany Rodriguez portrays what life is like for Lucy, a woman with a mental health condition, who is trying to come to terms with childhood sexual trauma and how it affected her development and relationships later in life.
Patricia Abaya, who writes under the pen name Tiffany Rodriguez, is the author of her debut book “Tender Mind,” a fictionalized account of her life that explores the correlation between schizophrenia and sexual relationships. She also details what it is like for the character Lucy to grow up as a fair skinned Filipino woman in America who often received racist remarks as she tried to arise from the confusion and hurt to find her place in society.
“With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, I want my story to help increase studies and awareness of relationships and sex in schizophrenic women as well as to bring a voice to sexual assault victims,” said Abaya.
“Tender Mind” provides a unique understanding of women with schizophrenia and the correlation with relationships and sex in time for Mental Health Awareness Month.
