The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the 15 member World Cup squad.
MSK Prasad addressed the reporters while naming the squad. Virat Kohli is set to lead India for the first time at the mega event. Rohit Sharma is the vice-captain who will be opening with Shikhar Dhawan. KL Rahul has also been included.
Amidst the speculations for the No. 4 spot, Ambati Rayudu - who is not being in good form - is missing out of the team.

As for the wicket-keeping unit, Dinesh Karthik will be in while Rishabh Pant has not been included.
MK Prasad said, "Under pressure, we have seen @DineshKarthik finish matches for @BCCI. That has gone in his favour ahead of @RishabPant777".
Vijay Shankar, Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja are the all-rounders in the team.
The pace trio of Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah have also been included in the squad.
The bowlers will be assisted by the wrist-spinning duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal while Kedar Jadhav is expected to roll his arm if required.
