Robbery attempt at Varca bank

Representative imageCOLVA: Colva police are on the lookout of an individual who along with three other persons attempted to rob a bank at Varca in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Police sources said that at around 1.30am, private security personnel Roshan Kumar Soni was inside the bank premises, when heard a knock on the door of the branch, which is located in a high density residential area.
Upon seeing the familiar face of an ex-personnel, who is currently working for another security firm, Soni opened the door to the accused who struck him on the head with a hard object.
The accused then called three more individuals inside the bank and attempted to break the safe.
As they were not successful, the thieves detached the digital video recorder, snatched the mobile from the security guard and escaped.
Police informed that they are already on the trail of the main accused, and the other three persons will be identified as soon as the ex-personnel is arrested.
