Panchmahal BJP, Cong candidates get notices over poll expenses
Vadodara: Both the BJP and Congress candidates of the Panchmahal Lok Sabha constituency were issued notices by the Panchmahal district education officer regarding anomalies in the poll expenses shown submitted by them. The candidates have so far submitted accounts of expenses till April 9.

The common anomalies that have emerged regarding the expenses include some expenses not being shown in the daily expense registers maintained by the teams of the candidates. These include expenses for public meetings and others. The BJP candidate Ratansinh Rathod was also directed to furnish permissions for the public meetings for which expenses had been accounted for.

The notice also pointed out that while Khant had shown poll expenses, the money for the expenses had not been withdrawn from the bank account opened for the elections. Both the candidates had also submitted bills without serial numbers and dates and were asked to ensure that they submit proper bills for the expenses.
