The South African Weather Service has issued a watch for severe thunderstorms over the north-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

In the North West it will be fine in extreme east at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon thundershowers.
The Free State will be cloudy in the south at first where there is fog patches, otherwise it will be partly cloudy and cool, but warm in the north.
Isolated thundershowers are expected, except in the south and extreme west.
It will be cool in the extreme west and south of the Northern Cape, otherwise it will be fine and warm, but partly cloudy in the north-east and southern high ground.
The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-easterly to southerly.
In the Western Cape it will be cloudy along the south coast with isolated light morning showers, otherwise partly cloudy and cool, but fine and warm along the west coast.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly, becoming south-westerly along the south-west and south coast late afternoon.

It will be partly cloudy and cool in the Eastern Cape, becoming cloudy along the coast and adjacent interior with isolated light showers and rain.
