Police conduct route march to instil confidence in people

Unidentified persons allegedly burnt two vehicles and 5,000 banana plants in a three-acre plantation in Mudigubba mandal of Anantapur district at three different places on Sunday.

In one of the incidents, a private ambulance was set on fire near Velugu Office on Dorigallu Road in Mudigubba, while a concrete mixer being used for railway contract works at Ralla Anantapuram in the same mandal was also set on fire.

In another incident about 3 km from the mandal headquarters town, miscreants destroyed the drip irrigation plastic pipes by setting them on fire in a 3-acre banana plantation leading to damage of 5,000 banana plants. The police are investigating by registering a case.

Meanwhile, the Mudigubba Circle Inspector Narasimha Rao conducted a route march on the streets of the town with Central Reserve Police Force personnel to instil a sense of confidence among the people.
