GARDENING AUSTRALIA: FAMILY EASTER SPECIAL
★★★
7.30pm, ABC
Fluffy bunnies and eggs are included in this holiday-themed instalment of the treasured horticultural show, but no one goes over the top with the theme. Rather, Costa visits a metropolitan farm in Melbourne; and Millie gathers spotty quail’s eggs at a patch of earth in Melbourne's Northcote that makes ingenious use of restricted space. Elsewhere, it’s back to the never-ending chores of the committed gardener, from storing pumpkins and pruning passionfruit, to ridding pot plants of annoying ants.
VENI VIDI VICI
★★★★★
10.45pm, SBS Viceland
Now that tortured art-house filmmaker Karsten Daugard (Danish actor Thomas Bo Larsen) has invented “pornetry” and is getting quietly drunk on his critical success, this Scandinavian bleak comedy is getting funnier by the episode. Tonight’s developments include a Dirk Diggler casting moment, more visions of grandeur, and a nice moment between Karsten and his artistic nemesis, Georgina, the fantastically jaded transgender camera operator (Michael Wincott).
THE LIVING ROOM
★★★
7.30pm, Ten
These jolly lifestyle advisers get into the spirit of Easter, with Dr Chris Brown explaining how to keep rabbits and chickens. Miguel Maestre makes some hot cross buns the Spanish way, which apparently includes a whole egg in the centre. Barry Du Bois steps in to sort a mum-of-three’s DIY disasters. And in “Hot or Not”, some of the weirdest new gadgets on the market are put through their paces. What fun.
