An article “ Millions missing in Chinese visa fraud racket” (SMH, 26 August 2017) may have been taken by some readers as suggesting that Ms Junus was able to perform with her violin at a prestigious musical event at the Sydney Opera House in July 2015 for reasons other than her musical proficiency, and further, that she had knowledge of illegal activities alleged in that article. Such suggestions were never intended and are withdrawn. The SMH apologises to Ms Junus for any harm or distress caused to her.
