Two get life for shooting man in 2015, one at large

THANE: The district court sentenced two people from Mumbra for shooting dead a man in the year 2015.
The district judge SP Gondhalekar convicted Ajgar Ali aka Ajju Hasan Thakur (30) and the rickshaw driver Salim Abdul Majid Shaikh (35) and sentenced them the life term on Friday. A third accused is still at large.
Prosecutor, Ujjwala Moholkar told the court that it was on August 27, 2015 the three accused dumped victim Rafique aka Shabbir Istiaque Khan (30) in an auto and brought him towards Saket from Mumbra and fired point-blank at him from the country made revolver and abandoned him on the street and fled.
The victim’s body was found by the cops patrolling the area and rushed to the government hospital where he died during treatment.
According to prosecution it was previous animosity and had a physical scuffle between the deceased and the first accused which lead to the killing in which the other accused abetted the crime.
