Oregon State host the Dam City Showcase

By the time i woke up, got out of bed and made breakfast, oregon state football was already on the road.

The beavers had a new location for spring practice.

Kezi 9 sports "one week ago, the oregon ducks made the trip up i-5, but this saturday it's the oregon state beavers invading mountain side high school for the dam city showcase to give beaver nation a glimpse of what they'll see this upcoming fall.

Jake luton: it's always good for a little change of scenery, change of pace, and get out in front of the fans and interact with them a little bit.

I think it was good.

But with the teams leading rusher and top two receivers from a season ago on the sideline, it was time for some underclassman to step up and make the most of their opportunities.

Jake luton: having some younger guys step up due to injury, but i think that's good.

I think in spring ball that's what you want.

You know you want young guys coming out and having to kind of learn on the fly and that's the fastest way to get better.

And i think it's been, they've done a good job.

Even with some strong performances from the offense, it was the defense who put together a full on productive day.

Jonathan smith: i think they started with their energy and then they turned each other on.

You can't just count on one guy to bring down and make a bunch of solo tackles.

It's a group effort and that showed up quite a bit today, and it's really showed up throughout spring.

I think we're flying around and making some plays.

Jalen moore: we got to come out you know even more better than last year.

We got to just stop the run first and make plays.

You know we got to win some games and that's key.

You know it starts with the defense, cause some days the offense may not score, the defense got to come by and get some picks and some turnovers, create turnovers and put some points on the
