Youth killed over love affair

Rajkot: A 20-year-old youth was murdered over a love affair in Mesaria village of Wankaner taluka in Morbi district on Saturday.
“Vijay Rathod, the victim, was in love with accused Jayanti Rathod’s sister Ranjan. The latter did not approve of the relationship. When Jayanti saw the duo in an objectionable position on the outskirts of Mesaria village, he became angry and decided to kill Vijay,” said an official from Wankaner taluka police station.
Police, who said Jayanti allegedly stabbed Vijay to death, have arrested the accused based on the complaints by the deceased’s brother, Sanjay Rathod.
