I am for Indore seat if party wants, says Kailash Vijayvargiya

National BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya on Saturday said he is focusing on election in West Bengal but is ready to contest from Indore Lok Sabha seat if party wants.  Talking to mediapersons at his residence here, Vijayvargiya said, “I am focusing on elections of West Bengal and I don’t want to shift my focus as we are likely to win more than 15 seats there.”

However, Vijayvargiya added, “If party gives me responsibility to contest election from Indore, then I don’t have guts to refuse party from any given responsibility.” Vijayvargiya said party will declare candidate for Indore seat in a day or two.  He said Indore is BJP’s bastion as several development works have been carried out here under leadership of Sumitra Mahajan.
“Party has not given ticket to Mahajan as she is above 75 years of age. Mahajan has respected party’s decision and is working to ensure BJP’s win,” he added.

Responding to a query, he said Digvijaya Singh was never a challenge for BJP. “People of state know him well and his tenure when roads were full of potholes and there was no electricity.” Commenting on Digvijaya’s announcement to donate land for Ram temple in Bhopal, Vijayvargiya said one can never say when he will wear ‘topi’ (cap) and when he will apply ‘tilak’ on his forehead. To another query on I-T raids at premises of Pravin Kakkar, the OSD of chief minister Kamal Nath, Vijayvargiya said it shows real face of Congress party.  “Their real face has come before the public in less than 15 months. They blame others when got caught,” he said.
