A team from National Institute of Technology- Tiruchi led by S. Raghavan, Professor, Electronics and Communication Engineering, presented two research papers contributing to the miniaturisation of the antennas (for Satellite applications) at a European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP 2019) in Poland recently.

The papers presented by the team that also comprised Divya and Arvind were appreciated by other researchers from across the world. The team was given travel grant by the EuCAP organisers based on the usefulness of the research in defence and satellite applications.

This is the only team among all NITs of the country to present two research papers in the conference. Around 2,000 research scientists from USA, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, Asia and Sri Lanka took part.

The EuCAP 2019 was one of the finest conferences in microwave domain, especially for Antennas. Internet of Things, Microwaves and Antennas, Technical innovations in 5G, and Microwave Medical Engineering developments - both diagnostics and therapeutics were among the many topics discussed at the conference, Prof. Raghavan said.
