Karur Lok Sabha constituency: The voting in Karur Parliamentary constituency will take place on April 18, which is the second phase of General election 2019. Polling in all 39 parliamentary constituencies in Tamil Nadu will be held in the second phase. In 2019, the key contest here is going to be among Congress' Selvi Jothi Mani, AIADMK's M Thambidurai and BSP's P Aadhi Krishnan.
Karur Lok Sabha constituency is comprised of six assembly segments which include Aravakurichi, Karur, Krishnarayapuram (SC), Manapparai, Vedasanthur and Viralimalai. AIADMK's Dr M Thambidurai is the sitting MP in Karur. He registered a victory against DMK's Chinnaswamy in 2014.
