Belagavi: BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa said prominent Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and K H Muniyappa will loss in the Lok Sabha elections and BJP would take a big lead in Karnataka.
Addressing party workers at Bailhongal on Saturday, he said BJP will return to power in the centre by winning more than 300 seats. He was campaigning for Belagavi BJP candidate Suresh Angadi.
Targeting the family of JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda, Yeddyurappa said the statements made by the former PM and his son Revanna had no value. “During the last election Deve Gowda had said he would leave the country if Narendra Modi became prime minister but did not. Now, his son HD Revanna is speaking about quitting politics if Modi becomes PM again. Their words have no value,” Yedyurappa said.
Targeting AICC chief Rahul Gandi, he said the Congress leader was targeting Modi just to get publicity. “He is not aware of what he speaks. He is wasting his time criticising Modi instead utilizing it for a constructive cause,” he said.
