CPI begins campaign, hits out at BJP
Ludhiana: Ludhiana unit of Communist party of india (CPI) has decided to intensify its campaign against the union government and go door to door to make people aware about the wrongdoings of Bharitya Janta Party (BJP). Secretary CPI, DP Maur said here on Thursday, “Time has come to overthrow this anti people government headed by Narendra Modi and BJP. We appeal to public to support us in this noble cause and make necessary efforts to strengthen this movement.”

The party members on Wednesday organised an executive meeting of party at Ludhiana in which representatives and office bearers of CPI from Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib and nearby places participated. The members expressed serious concerns over “What country has been going through and the misadventures of Modi government.”

“Our constitution is in danger and society is being divided on the basis of religion and caste. Atrocities are being committed against minorities and unemployment ratio has shot up manifold. Therefore keeping in view the present circumstances it has become very necessary to bring a change”, said Maur.

Senior CPI leader Arun Mitra too claimed that the Modi government has failed to fulfil even a single promise, which was made to the public, like the claims of bringing back black money and depositing Rs15 lakh into the bank account of every Indian. “In an attempt to cover up for their failures, they are diverting attention of the public towards unnecessary issues and labelling those as anti nationals who question them. But now as election process has started and only one month has been left for the results,” he said.

Claiming that the countdown for the end of BJP and Modi has already begun he added, “We have already started the process of bringing out their real face in front of public.” Other leaders present on the occasion included Chamkaur Singh, Ramesh Rattan, Gurnam Sidhu, MS Bhatia, Vijay Kumar.
