Mumbai: Residents of the Jai Ambe society in Borivli held a black flag protest in response to the campaign rally of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Gopal Shetty on April 11. According a society resident, Prakash Poriya, they have been residing in the building for over 10 years but still awaiting their occupancy certificates, share certificates and other related documents. They have met Shetty, their sitting member of Parliament, several times in this regard and claim all he could provide was empty assurances. “So why would we vote for him or support him,” asked the residents.
