A brief spell of thunderstorm in the evening brought the temperatures down in Hyderabad on Friday, which had experienced an unrelenting Sun during the day.

The showers began after 8 p.m. and continued sporadically across various localities, including Kukatpally, Banjara Hills, Somajiguda, Begumpet, Saifabad and L.B. Nagar. During the day, the temperatures touched 40 degrees Centigrade, which is a two-degree departure from normal.

The minimum temperature was 25 degrees. Similar temperatures are predicted in city for Saturday, along with thundershowers and squall.
