Bhosale elected VP of JN Hockey Tournament Society

PUNE: City-based Dr. Vrushali Bhosale, President SNBP Group of Institutes, set a milestone becoming the first lady ever to be elected as Vice President of the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru Hockey Tournament (JNHT) Society, New Delhi, recently

Her nomination and subsequent induction to the position comes after her continuous support to age-group and women’s hockey in the State apart from being title sponsors of the Nehru All India Inter University Hockey Tournament for the last two years.

The society has been engaged assiduously in promotion and development of the National game since 1964 which includes conducting competitions at the National and International level. JNHT Society Secretary General, Kukoo Walia, said; “Dr. Vrushali Bhosale has flair for the National game aimed at regaining its glory to the fullest.  She understands the initiative needed to develop & promote the game Nationally and Internationally.”

“Keeping view of her keen interest in developing the National game of Hockey, Dr. Vrushali is an asset to JNHT Society.  She not only has taken interest in the day-to-day activities of the Society, but also title-sponsored our varsity hockey tournament.  Dr. Vrushali has also shown her keenness to promote the game at University level.”

As head of an education consortium, Dr. Vrushali has extended support in creating her own sports properties which include; SNBP All-India Boys and Girls Hockey tournament, the only Nationally listed all-India tournament, ‘Shubadra’ - a district- level inter-school competition comprising of ten disciplines, regularly conducts the District Sports Office Inter-School events in chess, karate, football and hockey and similarly supports her own institute’s non-residential hockey Academy by providing education and a chance to excel in sport.
