CHENNAI: It’s election season and Chennai Metro Rail Limited, the city’s modern transit system, has joined the list of government entities in raising awareness among voters.

CMRL Awareness posters have been put up in metro trains to educate and encourage commuters to go cast their votes without accepting bribes.

Also, 32 different posters have also been put up at all the 32 metro stations. They have also been shared in CMRL’s social media account. The posters were designed by the Tamil Nadu state election commission.

In addition, 24 awareness video films with celebrities encouraging people to vote without fail, made by the state election commission, have been posted on CMRL’s social media pages.

The videos and posters guide voters to dial the helpline 1950 to find the nearest voting booth.

Polling will be held in Tamil Nadu on April 18.
