Two teachers returning from election duty died in a road accident in the early hours of Friday near village, about 40 kilometres from here, police said.

The two were part of a group of four teachers who were travelling by car after poll duty in Hinganghat, an said.

"Between 3:30-4am, the vehicle crashed into a tree near Mouza-Champa village, killing Nukesh Mendhule (39) on the spot and Pundalik Bahe (55) a little later in hospital," said
