Workafella, a co-working space provider in the country, aims to grow three times its size by the end of 2019. Currently, the Chennai-based entity has 9,000 fully-functional operational seats, and 6000 seats in fit out stage in four cities - Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Mumbai.

Rattha said, “We are all set to achieve our goal of growing three times in size to become one of the largest co-working space provider in India. In line with this we are planning on entering newer markets in the north and western region while further strengthening our presence in the south. Our aim to be at 25,000 seats by 2020.” With the launch of Hi-Street in Teynampet, the available seat count in the city will reach to 7000 work-stations. The company also plans to offer enterprise model for larger firms.
It is gearing up for a launch of its 1.5 lakh sq ft space at Teynampet, considered as a commercial hi-street in the city. With multiple centres, it already has established a strong footprint in Chennai and Hyderabad. The company has functional co-working centres, one each in Bangalore and Mumbai and is also on the lookout to acquire more space in these two cities. The homegrown co-working brand is also looking to enter other cities such as the New Delhi and NCR besides looking to venture into tier two cities.
