A controversy erupted on Friday after several army officers denied writing a letter to the President Ram Nath Kovind in which concerns were raised by 156 veterans over blatant "politicisation" of the armed forces by political parties during election campaign. General SF Rodrigues denied signing the letter. While talking to ANI, he said, "We in the services have always done what the Govt in power ordered us, we are an instrument of the state.We are apolitical. Anyone can say anything and then sell it as fake news, I don't know who this gentleman is who wrote this."
