VADODARA: The Jawaharlal Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College run by city-based Parul University has entered into a MoU with the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) under the initiative of linking education and clinical practice with research.
The MoU was inked during two-day international convention organised on April 9 and April 10 by CCRH, an autonomous research organisation under the Ministry of AYUSH on the occasion of the World Homoeopathy Day at Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.
MOUs were signed with PG homoeopathic colleges with an effort to link education with research. The vision behind the agreement would be to provide impetus to research infrastructure, which, in turn further orient the students towards research.
"The council is taking this as an opportunity to review the path trodden so far, taking stock of the challenges faced and to formulate future strategies for development of homoeopathy. There is an imminent need to focus on improving the quality of education and enhancing the success rate of an average practitioner. There is also a need to ensure the production and availability of high-quality homeopathic drugs in the market", said Dr Parul Patel, vice president of Parul University and a homoeopath.
"Ahmedabad Homoeopathic Medical College, an institute under Parul University had also signed this MoU with CCRH last year. It is a privilege for us to contribute in the field of homoeopathy with 400 under graduates and 42 post graduate students graduating from PU every year", said Dr Komal Patel, paramedical director of Parul University.
