While staff of Chennai Metro at Koyambedu were conducting the regular baggage scan on Wednesday evening, it turned out that they had to summon the election flying squad.

A passenger walked in and placed his baggage containing ₹2,90,000 through the scanner. When the staff questioned him on whether he had documents or why he carried such a huge sum, the passenger gave evasive replies. Immediately, the staff called the police and the election flying squad and the passenger was detained.
