Thursday's first phase of polls will help shape the future of next Lok Sabha and four state assemblies. The key question in this election is whether people of India are going to accept Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development and corruption-free pitch or will they buy Rahul Gandhi's NYAY theory. Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Telangana, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh are states where farmer issues have played a dominant role. In Uttar Pradesh, the SP-BSP alliance will put Yogi Adityanath’s magic to test. BSP supremo Mayawati was also camping in UP (West)for past many days but whether that will have any impact on voters will be interesting to see.

The first phase of polling in 91 Lok Sabha constituencies across 20 states and two Union Territories began today at 7 AM. Polling for Lok Sabha Elections 2019 will be held in seven phases. Votes will be counted on May 23. Along with 91 Lok Sabha seats, voting to elect a government in four states - Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Odisha is also underway.
