In the phase 1 of Lok Sabha polls 2019, 18 states and 2 Union Territories will go to polls. Polling will begin in 91 Lok Sabha seats across India. In the phase 1 of Lok Sabha elections, 1285 candidates will be in the fray. There will be 169,400 polling stations in the country where voters can use their voting rights. The Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven phases between April 11 to May 19 and counting will take place on May 23. The Bharatiya Janata Party faces SP-BSP-RLD in 8 seats of western UP.
