NEW DELHI: Mentha oil traded in lower terrain in futures trade on Thursday on muted spot demand amid higher supply.

Around 10:35 am, MCX Mentha oil was at Rs 1,467.60 per kg, down by Rs 4.40, or 0.30 per cent.

Speculators trimmed positions in mentha futures, triggered by muted demand from consuming industries at the spot market and adequate stocks on higher supplies from the major producing regions.

As per brokerage SMC Global Securities, mentha oil futures (April) is likely to consolidate in the range of Rs 1,455-1,485 levels for the session.
