Cape Town - A helicopter ride over the majestic Victoria Falls, a five-star culinary experience, and a personalised perfume making workshop tailored to his date's unique nature. These are just some of the extravagant one-on-one dates we've seen on The Bachelor SA on M-Net (DStv 101).
South Africa's first-ever bachelor, Lee Thompson is pulling out all the stops on the local version of the hit-reality dating show, planning special dates for the ladies, and taking extra time to match each date to his partner's interests and personality.
Lee revealed to Channel24 on our one-on-one date that he has a hand in preparing every single date and works closely together with the production team on the overall execution.
We take a look at five of the most special dates we've seen on The Bachelor SA so far, so call over your significant other and ask them to take notes!
EXPLORING THE MOTHER CITY (Episode 1)
For his first one-on-one date, Lee invited Kelly-Teigan on a trip to his hometown Cape Town. They explored the romantic side of the Mother City in a flashy sports car, stopped for ice-cream along the way and ended the date with a dreamy sunset cruise.
A LUXURIOUS 5-STAR EXPERIENCE (Episode 4)
Lee spoiled Miss Reddy with a five-course dining experience in a private room at the five-star Michelangelo Hotel. At the end of the evening, he gifted her a pair of dazzling diamond earrings from Jack Friedman.
SCENT OF LOVE (Episode 5)
Lee definitely paid attention during his conversations with Gina. He invited her to an intimate perfume making experience. What followed was an afternoon of romantic fragrances, wine, cheese and a steamy kiss.
ROMANCE ON THE MENU (Episode 6)
After being serenaded by UK singing sensation, Callum Scott, Jenna was invited to a special date in the very intimate and personal setting of Lee’s penthouse. The evening was filled with spectacular views, laughter and wine and at the end of the evening, a diamond necklace from Jack Friedman.
LOVE HAS NO BORDERS (Episode 7)
Lee whisked Jozaan away for a two-day getaway outside of South African borders. They enjoyed a magical sunrise helicopter ride over the Victoria Falls, shared some steamy kisses in the hotel pool, took a daring jump over the Falls and ended with a sunset cruise across the Zambezi River.
