'Wouldn't you like to know the truth behind the murder of your child?' another message read.
'Can I ask who you are?' replied Ms Saunders.
She feared for her life after blocking the profile, which had a cat wearing a Santa Claus hat as the display picture.
Calvitto said 'sources' told him he was once a police suspect, according to Channel Nine.
'I believe a grieving parent deserves to know the truth,' he said.

Ms Saunders asked who Marc Calvitto was before blocking him from messaging her. The messages came two years after her 11-year-old daughter's rape and murder

Mr Calvitto said he 'could have been more sensitive' but did not think he was harassing Ms Saunders.
He was sentenced to 250 hours of community service over two years at Castlemaine Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Zoe Buttigieg was molested and murdered in her own bed by Bowe Maddigan, a friend of her mother, on October 25, 2015.
Maddigan, 31, was sentenced to life in prison, with a non-parole period of 28-years, when he pleaded guilty in the Victorian Supreme Court in 2016 to murder and committing an indecent act with a child under 16.
The devastated mother had four friends at her Wangaratta home drinking and smoking marijuana the night Zoe was killed, including Maddigan.
Ms Saunders said Maddigan went missing part-way through the night, after Zoe had gone to bed.
'We looked everywhere, we looked outside, we looked out the back, checked all the rooms, every room but hers. And that decision haunts me every day because if I'd opened that door she'd still be here,' she said.
