UK accepts EU's offer to extend Brexit deadline to Oct 31

The leaders of the 27 remaining EU member-states and UK agreed here early Thursday to extend deadline until October 31.

The arrangement calls for an interim review of the situation in late June, which would allow for an earlier if conditions warranted.
