Dowe: the workforce investment board is inviting high school and tech-school students to build their future in southwest missouri.
This expo at the newton county fairgrounds gave the students the opportunity to learn what workers do on-the-job.
Jared patrick from the carthage technical center says there's a growing need for workers in the "building trades".
"but there has been a big push lately for skilled trades.
I think you are seeing more and more this is becoming something that is needed in our area.
Now you are seeing that influx of these kids need training these kids need skills that they are going to be able to good out and work right away.
