30-year-old falls from second floor, dies

NOIDA: A 30-year-old man allegedly fell to his death from the terrace of his two-storey rented accomodation in Chotpur colony in Sector 63 of Noida on Wednesday.
The deceased, Birendra Singh, belongs to Jamalpur area of Banda district. He died on the spot after falling from the second floor of the the house.
Singh, worked as a tailor in an export company and had been staying with his cousin Lal Bahadur.
According to police, they received information around 8am about a man having fell down from the terrace. His elder brother Arvind Singh and younger brother Dharmendra who stay in Banda, were informed. Singh had been staying in Yakubpur village since 2012 and had recently shifted to Chotpur colony in January, police said.
Police said that Birendra was also in the habbit of drinking and they are investigation if he was was drunk on Wednesday when he fell.
“It seems that he was sleepy. We are verifying whether he was drunk,” Phase III police station SHO Akhilesh Tripathi said.
