Property dealer in Wasseypur ‘shoots’ himself

Dhanbad: A 35-year-old property dealer in New Matkuria colony in Dhanbad’s Wasseypur area allegedly attempted to commit suicide by shooting himself in the head early on Thursday morning. The property dealer, Syed Shahid, was immediately rushed to Central Hospital here, and then he was referred to Durgapur Mission Hospital for better treatment. According to police, the bullet pierced Shahid’s head and he is in a critical condition.
Officer-in-charge of Bankmore police station, Surendra Kumar, while speaking to TOI said, “Police investigation revealed that Shahid had made the last call to a woman. He apparently told her that he does not want to live anymore. Later on, when police interrogated Shahid’s family members, they surrendered the pistol with which he reportedly shot himself.”
Police said that investigation is underway and they will solve the case in a short span of time.
