NEW DELHI: OMCs were trading in the green in Thursday's morning session with their sectoral index on BSE trading higher.

Shares of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (up 2.05 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 1.72 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation (up 0.83 per cent) and GAIL (India) (up 0.79 per cent) were trading higher.

Petronet LNG (up 0.61 per cent), Reliance Industries (up 0.43 per cent) and Castrol India (up 0.33 per cent) too were trading with gains.

The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.56 per cent up at 14,742.92 around 11:55 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 12.35 points at 11,571.95 while the BSE Sensex was down 63.05 points at 38,522.30.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of Reliance Communications, Reliance Power, Indiabulls Real Estate, Bharti Airtel, GMR Infra, Vodafone Idea, DLF, Suzlon Energy, PC Jeweller and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
