“The Realme 3 Pro, the upcoming smartphone from the brand, will be up against Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphone”
After a series of teasers, Realme has announced the launch date of its forthcoming smartphone – the Realme 3 Pro in India. The successor to Realme 2 Pro will break cover in the country on April 22nd at Delhi University Stadium in New Delhi, India. It’s likely to be an affordable mid-range offering, competing against Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 Pro (review) smartphone. The latter was launched last month in the country with Snapdragon 675 chipset, Sony IMX586 48-megapixel sensor, and a price tag that starts from Rs 13,999.
Although the company’s CEO Madhav Sheth took down the initial tweet about the launch date, another Twitter user managed to repost the information stating the launch date and the location (seen above).
[UPDATE 2:15 pm]: The company has since officially tweeted about the launch date and location. The tweet can be found here: https://bit.ly/2Ku9B2w
As for the Realme 3 Pro, the handset is also expected to rock a 48-megapixel sensor (maker unknown) but is rumoured to be powered by a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. The mid-range octa-core chipset is likely to be paired with 4GB/ 6GB of RAM and 32GB/ 64GB onboard storage, which should be user expandable.
The handset could don a glass sandwich design and a waterdrop-style notch display (display size is unknown right now). The small cut-out atop the screen is likely to house selfie camera and earpiece. Just like its siblings, the Realme 3 Pro may also come running OPPO’s custom skin ColorOS based on Android out of the box. We don’t know the software version details and also, the battery cell the device is going to house at the moment.
That’s all we know so far! We’ll be there at the Realme 3 Pro India launch event to bring all the updates on specs, price, and availability, so keep watching the space.
