Gurugaman launches 2 more bus routes

Gurgaon: Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited (GMBCL) on Saturday launched two more bus routes — number 132 and 116 — in the city, taking the total to five.
Route number 132 will start from Ambience Mall and pass DLF Cyber Hub, DLF 1, DLF 2, IFFCO Chowk, Signature Towers, Star Mall, Sector 31, Rajeev Chowk, district court, police commissioner’s office, SCERT (Haryana), Kamla Nehru Park, Civil Hospital, and Gurgaon bus stand. According to GMBCL officials, the service will start from 7.55am and the last bus will leave at 10.27pm. The buses will arrive after an interval of 5-10 minutes.
Route number 116 will start from Tau Devi Lal Biodiversity Park and pass Wazirabad, housing board colony, Ardee City, Sushant Lok, Sector 43-44, Fortis Memorial Institute, Huda City Centre Metro station, South City 1, Sector 29-30, Gymkhana Club, MDI, Sector 14/IDC, Canal colony, ITI colony, Government Girls College, Anamika Enclave, Patel Nagar, Vyapar Kendra, Mahabir Chowk gaushala ground, Jacobpura-Lajpat Nagar, Jacobpura-Miyan Wali colony, Bhim Nagar Chowk, Old Railway Road, Sector 4-5, Laxman Vihar Chowk, Ashok Vihar, Gurgaon railway station, Rajendra Park and Dwarka Expressway Chowk/Sector 106. According to GMBCL officials, the service will start from 6am and the last bus will leave at 9.40pm. The buses will run at an interval of 10-15 minutes.
“The two new routes are expected to get a good response,” an official said, adding, “The number of buses has now gone up to 75.” GMBCL was supposed to receive 50 buses for the fourth and fifth bus routes but only 25 buses have been received till now. The bus fare structure will be similar to that on the earlier routes that. It will be Rs 10 for the first ten stops, Rs 20 for the stops between 10 and 20, and Rs 30 after that.
For convenience of commuters, GMCBL has also extended route number 215 from Harsaru to Wazirpur village.
The authority has also launched a special bus service for devotees visiting Shree Sheetla Mata Mandir from March 25 which will continue till the end of the Chaitre-Navratra Mela. The buses run between Gurgaon bus stand to railway station via Shree Sheetla Mata Mandir and back. They are available 24 hours at an interval of 15-20 minutes on Sunday and Monday and between 4am to 12pm on other days. “The fare is only Rs 10 from Sheetla Mata Mandir to railway station or bus stand,” an official said.
