Election Commission bans release of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's biopic till Lok Sabha polls

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's biopic which was slated to release on 11th April has been banned by the Election Commission till the end of Lok Sabha polls. Questioning the timing of the release, the opposition parties had also criticised the release of the film prior to Lok Sabha polls stating the film might influence the public and give undue advantage to the ruling party. However, the Omung Kumar directorial biopic was earlier given a clean chit from Supreme Court and Central Board of Film Certification to get released on 11th April.
