Trump Wondered Why George Washington Didn\'t Name Mount Vernon After Himself: Report

??But according to a new report from Politico, President Trump wondered why ??President Washington didn’t name his home at Mount Vernon after himself.

??It reportedly happened during a visit to the home with French President Emmanuel Macron.

??Trump said quote, “If he was smart, he would’ve put his name on it.” ??Adding, “You’ve got to put your name on stuff or no one remembers you.” ??The president and CEO of Mount Vernon Doug Bradburn, gave the two Presidents the tour and described the day as quote, “truly bizarre” and reportedly pointed out to Trump, Washington did have the nation’s capital named after him.??One source also told Politico that Bradburn was quote, “desperately trying to get Trump interested in” the house.

??The report says Trump at one point asked if Washington was really rich and another source said that was the thing Trump was most excited about.
