MP Kantilal Bhuria gets bail in RMC case

Ratlam: Court of judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) Atul Yadav here in Ratlam granted bail to sitting MP and Congress candidate for Ratlam-Jhabua parliamentary seat Kantilal Bhuria on Monday in connection with a seven-month old case. Case had been registered against Bhuria on September 11, 2018 when he inaugurated the Ratlam Medical College, a day ahead of its scheduled in auguration on September 12. He was booked under Section 448 (house-trespass) and 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of Indian Penal Code. Next hearing in the case is scheduled on April 29.

Challan was presented before the Judicial Magistrate against 14 accused including MP Kantilal Bhuria under Section 188 and 448 but court directed police to register the case under section 448 on January 29 last. As per information, on Monday afternoon Bhuria reached the district court and appeared before JMFC Yadav who after hearing his application granted bail on the deposit of Rs 7,000 and equal amount of surety bond.

His advocate Prakash Majawadia after the bail was granted told media persons that every MP has got right to enter any government building and more over MP Bhuria had got sanctioned Ratlam Medical College he argued.  MP Bhuria also told media persons that case was registered by the then BJP state government against him falsely. He said that it was wrong to say that he entered medical college building without permission as he got Medical College sanctioned for Ratlam and inaugurated it.

This is to mention that official inauguration programme of Ratlam Medical College was held on September 12 last at the hands of the then chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. One day before the scheduled date of inauguration Bhuria reached the Medical College’s newly constructed building along with his supporters and inaugurated the college.

He at that time also told media persons that he had drawn the attention for changing the date of inauguration as on September 12, the then MP Congress president Kamal Nath was to address a programme in Petlawad part of Ratlam-Jhabua parliamentary area.  District administration had sent a memorandum to the industrial estate police station for the violation of section 144 by Bhuria and charged that Bhuria entered the premises of Medical College without permission along with his 13 supporters.
