Downtown macon will soon be home to another bar and nightclub -- this one along m-l-k.

41nbc's rashaad vann joins us in the studio with more.

The macon-bibb's planning & zoning commission voted earlier this week to conditionally approve zoning the new bar and nightclub at the site of a former restaurant on martin luther king boulevard..

Owner brandon lawler is calling the establishment "j.b.a.

He plans to bring live music featuring serveral different genres, including jazz, blues, and funk.

The entertainment will be combinations of booked local and regional bands, hosted local jam nights, and featured individual musicians from in and around macon.

Right now it's really just about the music beyond that i don't want to give too much away but we'll, i mean i want to try to make a improve the whole block everybody down here and i know i replaced a restaurant so i mean the idea of maybe bringing food trucks down here i would love to sponsor one and sit in the corner here lawler says he plans to open "j-b-a" this
