A 20-year-old man was killed and his two friends were injured when a speeding bike hit them in east Delhi’s New Ashok Nagar on Tuesday.
The accused driver, Shiv Shankar, is critical, the police said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Jasmeet Singh said the deceased has been identified as Akash and the injured have been identified as his friends Shivam and Vishal.
The three victims were walking on the Nala road in New Ashok Nagar when the bike hit them.
“A PCR call was received at 12.15 a.m. regarding the accident. When police reached the spot, they got to know that the victims were taken to Dharamshila Hospital,” Mr. Singh said.
Akash used to work in a call centre, the police said.

“A case on charges of rash driving and causing death due to negligence has been registered. Further investigation is under way,” the officer said.
