Delhi: Man dies after cluster bus hits two-wheeler in Lodhi Colony area

NEW DELHI: A 35-year-old man died on Wednesday after his motorcycle was hit from behind allegedly by a speeding cluster bus near the Jor Bagh Metro station in the Lodhi Colony area here, police said. The deceased has been identified as Mosin Khan, a resident of the Jaipur Polo Ground area in the city, they said.

According to deputy commissioner of police (South) Vijay Kumar, a call about the incident was received on Wednesday evening.


Police found the motorist on a footpath in the Lodhi Colony area, Kumar said.


The left leg of the victim was fractured and he had other injuries, the DCP said.


He was rushed to the AIIMS trauma centre, where he was declared brought dead, a senior police officer said.


The bus was also found on the footpath where the body lay, police said.


The driver and the conductor are on the run, they added.
