Kumaraswamy dubbed the most lachrymose Chief Minister

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shivraj Singh Chauhan held a road show in Kalaburagi on Tuesday seeking votes for party candidate from the Lok Sabha constituency Umesh Jadhav.

Accompanied by a host of party leaders, including State unit general secretary N. Ravikumar, district unit (Urban) president B.G. Patil, Kalaburagi Rural MLA Basavaraj Mattimud, the former Minister Malikayya Guttedar, apart from Mr. Jadhav, the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister moved through the busy road in the Supermarket area between Ganesh Mandir and Chowk Police Station.

Addressing a gathering there, Mr. Chauhan criticised Congress Leader in Lok Sabha and party’s candidate in Kalaburagi constituency M. Mallikarjun Kharge for “suppressing second and third level leaders in the party for promoting his son”. “Mr. Kharge suppressed every leader in the second and third rungs in the party just to promote his son and safeguard his political career. He is like Dhritarashtra who was infatuated about his son and sacrificed everything for him,” he said.

He also criticised Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and his family for their dynastic politics. “The family of Mr. Kumaraswamy is also into dynastic politics. H.D. Revanna is ‘super-CM’. Now, all the family members are into politics. Mr. Kumaraswamy is the most lachrymose Chief Minister that I have ever seen,” he said.
