The elephants stuck in village pondMADIKERI: Five wild elephants, who got stuck in a farm pond in Palangala village near Virajpet, were rescued on Wednesday morning.
The panchyderms were stuck in the pond's slush, which is located near the house of a local, since last night.
Ranjan Tammaih, a local resident, said out of 5 elephants one is a cub elephant.
The elephants were rescued after a team stepped up its efforts.
