Ambala: 3 die in separate road accidents in Haryana

AMBALA: The Ambala district in Haryana has witnessed three deaths due to road accidents, with the police registering three separate cases at Mullana and Saha police stations - within a period of 24 hours.


On Tuesday, Sushil Kumar, a resident of Bhudian village in the district, complained to Mullana police that on April 8, at around 2.30pm, he along with his uncle Pawan Kumar (48) were going for some work to Mullana on separate vehicles. When they reached near Arya School, a Haryana Roadways bus bearing number HR58A8018 came from Dosarka side which directly hit the motorcycle of his uncle Pawan who fell on the ground along with his two-wheeler and was rushed to MMU Hospital, Mullana where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the bus fled after leaving the bus on the spot. A case against the bus driver has been registered.


In the second case, on Tuesday Nitin Chauhan, a resident of Badhouli village, complained to Mullana police that on April 8, his brother Hardev Singh had gone to village Nohni for some work after borrowing somebody’s motorcycle. "I had met him at village Nohni market from where together we left for our village Badhouli on our separate two-wheelers. When at around 4.15pm we reached near E-Max College, a motorcycle-borne youth hit Hardev’s motorcycle who along with a lady sitting behind him fell on the ground, and both received serious injuries. Hardev was rushed to MMU Hospital, Mullana where he succumbed to his injuries while the lady is out of danger. The accused has been identified as Joginder Singh, a resident of Gola, who has been booked.


In the third case, on Tuesday, Kamaljit, a resident of Bihta village, complained to Saha police that on April 8, he had gone to Mithapur for some work when at around 6.30pm he was traveling on his two-wheeler towards Samalkha, when another motorcycle-borne man was traveling in front of him. Suddenly, a car at high speed came from behind and hit the motorcycle in front of him after which the man fell on the ground and received serious injuries on his head. The car driver stopped the vehicle at some distance and after seeing the person severely injured he fled the spot. As per the information, the man was rushed to PGI, Chandigarh for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries on April 9. The deceased has been identified as Pradeep Kumar, a resident of village Manglai. In this case, complainant Kamaljit had noted down the registration number (HR85B6280) of the car and a case has been registered.
