Vegan interiors are the new fad!

Vegan... Wait....No, I am not talking about food, I am talking about interiors.
The growing fad of Veganism is not only about food but has also invaded our homes. Vegan decor is the latest rage. If you are wondering how your home interiors could be vegan, let us introduce you to the cruelty-free interiors. All interiors made of environmentally-friendly material and do not have any animal byproduct. There are countless innovative yet cruelty-free alternatives available for designing your home. To cut the long story short, we’ll just say, you can have the most stunning look for your home even if you are a vegan!

Here’s how you can start the amends in your house this season:

Natural textiles
The choice of fabrics is the easiest way to introduce veganism in your interior. When you are out buying curtains, rugs, carpets or cushions for your home, opt for no animal-based materials like cotton, linen, jute, bamboo silk etc. Natural textiles can be a better and kinder option. There are many companies that are doing great work and have exceptional collections for these fabrics.

Choose your candles wisely
Candles made of beeswax or paraffin wax that are made from animal-derived stearic acid and none of this is vegan. So, you can replace them with candles made of soy. Soy candles burn longer and by using them you’ll also get to support farming.

Paint the town vegan
Conventional paints have many toxins, which are made with milk protein binder whereas vegan paints are made with vegetable casein, which is a protein glue. Since natural paints are safe and toxin-free, they are your vegan environment-friendly alternative to conventional paints.

Furniture for the ages
Trees not only give us tools and shelter, they also help in the absorption of CO2 gas, which makes them a godsend for our planet. Woods from sustainable plantation are renewable and provide biodiversity. The laminated wood furniture is not always totally vegan as they might contain glue that has animal-derived ingredients. The best thing you can do is find some vintage furniture and give them new life with a total vegan renovation.

Reap the benefits of houseplants
The secret to functional decoration is hidden in introducing more plants to your home. Houseplants are beautiful, therapeutic and of course inexpensive. Plants like Aloe-vera, snake plant, English Ivy are the perfect choice for your living room and bedroom. They purify air, eliminate toxic gases like xylene, carbon mono-oxide and fill your room with oxygen. Moreover, they create a relaxing ambiance.

Chose artifacts wisely
The artifacts made of camel or elephant bone are not something we should not flaunt our houses or office with. Note that we spare a bomb in such artifacts which ultimately doesn’t do well to the nature.

Remember, every small choice makes a difference.
