Kerala: Local bodies to receive Rs 913.7 crore as first installment of road and non-road maintenance fund

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government has sanctioned Rs 913.7 crore as first installment of road and non-road maintenance fund for local bodies. A total amount of Rs 2741.11 crores has been allocated as road and non-road maintenance fund for local bodies in Kerala for the fiscal 2019-20.
The amount is to be disbursed in three installments during March, July and November.
The first installment of road maintenance fund will come to Rs 639.59 crore and first installment of non-road maintenance fund would be Rs 274.11 crore. Gram panchayats in the state will receive an amount of Rs 518.6 crore. Six corporations will receive an amount of Rs 70.7 crore and municipalities will receive Rs 100.58 crore.
