The Story Of How India’s Most Followed General Facebook Page ‘Sarcasm’ Came Into Existence

Sarcasm has now been the mainstay of the Indian entertainment channel for some years now. However, what remains to be read is its glorious arrival on social media which has since entertained millions of fans around the world. With fans residing in as many as 40 plus countries, it is safe to state that Sarcasm has turned out to be nothing less than a worldwide sensation.

Sarcasm’s Untimely Arrival

Four Facebook friends, on one sunny day, decided to create a general page that shared pictures that would mock literally everything in the world. Rakesh Prasad, Gaurav Shukla, Meet Luthra and Aditya Saini unknowingly managed to give birth to a Facebook page that not only went onto just win people’s hearts but also become India’s most followed page on Facebook.

With the collaboration merits from big brands such as McDonald’s, Wildstone, Mi, etc., DigiHood Media’s Sarcasm has definitely hit the golden pot. They will never fall short of making you laugh.

The Inside Story by Meet Luthra

Meet Luthra has always been the face of Sarcasm, the genius behind its success. It was a no brainer for us to catch his words when he finally decided to speak about Sarcasm’s arrival in the online world.

He says: “Sarcasm was a collective effort. To be honest, after failing several times on Facebook, we had no literal clue on how to make it big on this social media platform. However, a drive to succeed drove us ahead. We created a Facebook page with a simple name: Sarcasm. I mean come on, you search ‘Sarcasm’ on Facebook and you’d find tons of pages with the same name. It was a very common name, I’d agree with that for sure.”

“However, at that point, all we had in mind was to make people laugh and laugh and laugh. Sarcasm seemed to be the perfect name for what we wanted to do so we just went ahead with it. I think no matter how much simple the thought is, if your cause is pure and honest, then no one can stop you from achieving success. We somehow managed to connect people all around the world and bring them together at one place, turning their rough days into awesome days; that is how Sarcasm survives and keeps growing”.

The Present And The Future

At present, Sarcasm stands at the very top of the hill with over 39 million fans on Facebook. Their vision remains the same and with it, we’re fairly optimistic to assume that they might just soon manage to have their glory bells run wild on the global level as well.
